Medical tests
You will have to have several medical tests done 7 days prior to the surgery. You will be given a list of the tests during the consultation.
Surgery
A consultation with an anaesthetist is carried out prior to surgery. The surgery is carried out under general anaesthesia and takes 1.5 - 2.5 hours.
Recovery
The night is spent in the in-patient hospital. Nasal tampons are removed on the second day. Control examinations are carried out after 7 days and, if necessary, after 1 and 6 months.
The result is permanent
The result after the surgery stays unchanged as the time goes by apart from age-related alterations of nose tissue.
Return to work
Return to work in 10-14 days.
Restrictions
During the first four weeks it is not recommended to visit sauna, indoor tanning or gym.

A consultation with an anaesthetist is carried out prior to surgery. The surgery is carried out under general anaesthesia and takes 1.5-2.5 hours. After the surgery a butterfly-shaped plastic bandage is applied on the nose and tampons are placed inside the nostrils.

POST SURGICAL RECOVERY
in a modern in-patient hospital
STEP 3
The first 24 hours are in the in-patient hospital under the medical staff supervision. After the discharge you will be given all necessary medications. Check up examinations are carried out after 7 days and, if necessary, after 1 and 6 months.
3Discomfort and painful sensations
During the first few days after the surgery there could be some painful sensations. If necessary, some pain relief medications can be prescribed.
Nose tampons
Tampons are removed the next morning after the surgery.
Plastic bandage
Butterfly-shaped plastic bandage for 7 days
Stitches
Stitches are removed after 7 days
Bruises
Bruises will disappear in about 10-12 days after the surgery.
Swelling
80% of swelling will be reduced in 3-4 weeks and will be completely gone in about 6-9 months.
Scars
During closed rhinoplasty incisions are made on the inner surface of the nose. During open rhinoplasty a small incision is also made on the skin part of the nasal septum. Eventually, this scar becomes completely invisible.
Final result
It will be possible to evaluate the final result after 6 months.
